A s-video can output 1366x768 (WXGA) 1080p 720P to a component Y/Pb/Pr input, that is still classed as a High Definition format and is a higher definition than standard definition of 480i but not true HD of 1920x1080 1080p.
S-Video is a analogue signal not digital but with a component cable...
Not at all. It provides a better menu which is what users want. Quality over quantity. It is faster than the majority of boxes out there and navigating the android and kodi menus is slick with no stuttering at all and so is enough for the job. A chromebox with i3 and i7 cpu would cost much more...
MKS is not a compressed format but a container format so changing from mkv wouldn't make a difference unless the stuttering is caused by handling the bigger file size. The NAS ethernet maybe just too slow.
Possible solutions
Try mp4 for much smaller file size. You will need the h.264 encoder...
I would instead get one of these. One of the best Android boxes out now for $180. It has some power. You can configure it to how you want. It has many interface ports. You can run Kodi and Plex on it. You can run emulators from the App store. It's half the cost of a HTPC. It will take 64GB SD...
DVI-I carries both digital and analogue so as that didn't work I use VGA adapter that converts DVI-I to all analogue which is sent to YPbPr analogue. The TV has no HDMI or VGA connections only component and scart.
A analogue signal to a analogue signal.
Right it can't be done. You obviously...
Connecting PC to TV. Graphic card has DVI-I port.
I connect a DVI-I to component cable to the y/pr/pb component-in to the TV. DVI-I carry analogue signal. Doesn't work.
So i use a DVI-I to VGA adapter to make it all analogue. I then use a VGA cable to y/pr/pb component-in cable. Doesn't...
I fitted a MSI Z97i AC and reflashed first time with bios 4.70 within Windows. It came up with list of bios updates including 1.80. Strange I had 4.7. Is 1.80 part of the Bios update?
I can't show the list of updates because now the board is DEAD after reinstalling Windows and installing MSI...
I was going to suggest a ASROCK Z97 E. It's a clear winner over the MSi Z97i AC And $50 cheaper than the one you bought would of done the job for you and more.
Never flash the BIOS with the MSI live update in Windows.
