I'm a big Thinkpad fan (I don't buy anything else), but if games is what you are after, don't even consider any Thinkpad.
That's not what they are made for, and they are not good at.
I can't help you with the slim part, but I have been using a Shuttle SV24 as a server for about a year now. It takes 2 IDE drives--1 in the floppy drive slot. I also added a Linksys network card in the pci slot, so with the integrated Realtek, the server has two NICs. I don't know if a...
I've never understood what the deal with the Z50 is, and why anyone would choose it instead of a 240. The only thing that the Z50 has going for it is battery life because it has a dog slow CPU. There is a reason it got discontinued so quickly.
I own or owned a 240, a 600e, a 570, and just...
Via C3 T-Ezra 800MHz (5W consumption) with a notebook hard drive (<3W) in an integrated motherboard. Even a notebook might not beat that. 10 of these will consume less power than one typical P4 machine with 7,200 rpm drive. But depending on the application, 10 of them might still be slower...

It depends on the size of the CRT monitor and how long do you use it per day. Realistically, you only save a couple of dollars a month, unless this is for a business where the monitor stays on for at least 10 hours a day.
It seems that Wusthof is going the Henckels way, using their brand prestige to sell cheap, inferior knives. I didn't even know that they made stamped knives. Looking at their web site, they claim "We design and manufacture each and every precision forged WÜSTHOF knife so that regardless...
<< [i]if its a 300w power supply, it consumes 300 watts, or can only consume that much (not very familiar w/ ps's)
not sure on the formula to figure watts into Wh (watt hours, what the power co bills you for)
might be like, 300 watts per hour, if its on 24 hrs each day for 30 days, thats 216kWh...
