I think it's probably a really good idea for you to go see a doctor.
That being said, "a protien shake in the morning, lean pocket ultras for lunch, and the same for dinner" is not a balanced diet. What about fruits and vegetables? What about whole grains? What about essential amino acids? It...
Not true. They just need to meet a certain weight requirement (4 lbs I think it is). Our last kitten was spayed at <3 months old. One of our others was spayed at about 3 months.
But yeah definite  to the OP in taking in a poor street kitty.
Because you guys caught your kittens infection early, she should be fine. Like everyone has said, it is a very common illness in shelter kittens. One of our cats was at the tail end of medication for her URI when we got her and we finished out her meds on her. We were told she had had another...

Don't eat within 2 hours of going to bed (and try not to eat a gigantic dinner).
Use your bed only for sleeping (not for watching tv or chilling or whatever - you need to train your mind/body that bed=sleep)...
Hmmmm. I would be surprised if it was a starter problem - it's only a year and a half old, it's not near the exhaust system, and a solenoid problem usually keeps the starter from working at all.
It shouldn't be vapor lock (since the pump is near the tank and I can hear it pressurizing the lines before it starts), but next time it does it I'll confirm this by removing the gas cap (and seeing if that makes it start).
I have no problem driving 45-60 mins. I haven't driven it much...
