It's probably like USB, where it provides _some_ power, but not enough to actually power a modern hard drive. Maybe you can do compact flash readers with it or something. For the record, USB provides 500mA. Not a lot, but it should be enough to charge things.

Thanks for the tip on the stuck pixels. Mine came, it has 7, but i can only find them if i search on a black screen. During usage it's almost impossible since they are so small (and i have 20/15 vision). 6 stuck green, 1 red. I also do not have the white spot issue.

Just a quick note here, if you plan on running dual with the 2001fp it would be best to get a 1703 instead of an 1800. The reason is the pixel pitches on the 2001 and 1703 are almost identical, i.e. they will match for font sizes etc a bit better than having the 1800. Also, on the dual monitor...
