Hi, i'm running a p4 1.6a in a shuttle sb51G and i'm using pc2100 ram. My problem is that the bios doesn't seem to have an option to let me run the ram at a 1:1 ratio. Therefore, i'm forced to run it at 133mhz which makes overclocking quite difficult since any increase in FSB pushes the ram...

is there any way to fix the desktop corruption problem caused by suspend mode when using the 6.35 and above drivers? i would really like to use the 6.50 because it lets me run agp4x in all games, but my screen gets all messed up once my video card goes into suspend.

if you have the altec ACS54, then they will hiss a lot when the volume is turned up.

i have to use the 6.31 with winME cause they're the only ones that don't give me a problem when my video goes into suspend mode. but the 6.50 are the only ones that let me run agp 4x in madden 2001

my GTS was pretty blurry so i decided to follow the instructions on the porotuner page and pull off some capacitors. I didn't quite understand the instructions about soldering the inductors so i left them alone..but after removing the capacitors i see very little difference if any. My 2d quality...

it just won't flash...locks up at the award flash screen before anything is programmed to the bios. i've seen someone else post that he had the same problem..coudln't find a solution though.

i agree that slightly thicker is better..with a paper thin layer, unless your heatsink has a very well designed clip, you're not going to be guaranteed good contact between the cpu and heatsink.

just peel off the 700mhz sticker..and if it's a taisol, there will be a sticker underneath that says taisol..if it's a coolermaster..there will be nothing underneath..or you could examine the clip and look for the taisol named etched in

yeah, i had a yamaha and had DMA enabled, and my computer would crash all the time while burning..after disabling DMA--totally stable..i also have a plextor that runs totally fine with DMA enabled

have any of you guys noticed the strange Ram speed settings on the 8kta2?...when i set SDRAM to 133 and increase FSB to 106..instead of 139mhz memory speed, the bios reports it at 141..and at 108 FSB, my memory is 144. This is not good because the ram i'm currently using has a maximum CAS 2...

i agree with most of the ppl here that the duron 700 is not a great overclocker..even ones with late week numbers still only do around 900, while a large percentage of duron 600's will easily do 950-1gig
