Putting together a new SFF desktop to get me through 'til August. I'm thinking something along the lines of: Shuttle SN41G2V2 Barton 2500+ 2x512 MB Mushkin PC3500 Radeon 9800Pro 80GB WD HDD I'm still shopping for a monitor...I may wind up going big and getting a nice 1600x1200 LCD.

blodhi, thanks for the link. I'll have to do a little more research, but that might be just what I'm looking for. Switching service providers is always an option, but I'd rather not break my contract unless I have to.

I found some kits from both Motorola and Samsung. It looks like I'll have to make my way to a Verizon store to find out whether they'll do what I want them to or not. I'll probably wind up having to upgrade phones, but it'll still probably be cheaper than paying for internet access at public...

For the next couple of months I won't be able to get internet service from a wired provider. Is there any way to connect a desktop to the web with a cellular connection, preferably through the cell phone service that I already have (Verizon)? I have a Samsung A310 at the moment, but switching...
