I just switched from CRT to LCD this week. Used to run a belinea 19" monitor 1280*1024. Now I'm using a ViewSonic VP201s 16ms, 1600*1200 @ 70htz and have to say I'm really happy I switched.

I'm a gamer and am willing to spend 400-500 quid for one with a good screen res. I've seen a few necs just haven't been able to find a buyer here in the UK.
Try crucial for your memory needs. 2x 512mb modules doesn't leave much space for upgrades later on. I would go with a 1gb and then later on when the prices fall and if you need to upgrade you can double it.

That flash sounds good for drivers, programs etc. What make do you recommend oneshot? I see some 1gb USB2 versions around by kingmax? For mp3s I cant make my mind up. Either a DVDRW or IPOD. Hmmm
