Anybody popped an ORB or other cooler on a NF2 chipset?

the title says it all. have you bought a crystal ORB, ripped of the stock passive cooler, and put on the new un? have you hit better FSB this way???

    post your HyperX results!

alright, just please give us a little glimpse at your experiences. Is this Kington really the cheaper XMS-eXcuter? Ocing experience, stability, tech support, anything, as well as sys specs please. so many of us are wondering about this cheaper XMS alternative (including myself): PLEASE...

Last request for opinions on Corsair 3200 ram (which one)

yes, all those sticks will be fine. and TWINX is no different than LL sticks, other than testing in an A7N8X mobo. I have no idea, however, what canterwood is, I'm an AMDer, sorry. and I am leaning towards the 3200LL myself right now, it looks damn sechsy at $92 at newegg (I think, maybe...

Last request for opinions on Corsair 3200 ram (which one)

LL chips are rated 5ns, C2 are rated 6ns, so theoretically the LL3200 is the same as 3500C2. theoretically. I am in the same situation right now, exactly, and I am leaning toward the C2 or the HyperX3500. but only 2x256, 1gig of RAM is wasted unless you are video editing.

POLL: Best Power for $$$: A Barton 2500+, or 512 of 3200/3500 RAM?

any input wanted. which upgrade would help my system more in gaming and windows: 2500+ barton ($190) 2x256 of Corsair XMS3200C2 (for $165) / 2x256 of HyperX 3500 ($170) hmm... decisions decisions... I want both of these things and can probably afford them both within 3 months, but what would...

    Ram for nForce 2?

    after reading a few reviews, I'd recommend the HyperX 3500 module. 89$ for a 256 stick, 169$ for 512.

    Ram for nForce 2?

I would go for XMS 3200. $87 a 256 stick (I know, expensive), much more reliable. Geil is ok, but my problem with it is that it is pre-oced RAM, you even have to set minimum voltage on it to 2.8 for it to run at stock! I mean, 2.5 is normal for most RAMs, and the max XMS will warranty out to is...

    barton's at newegg

uh... don't know where you've been, but the 3000+ is the top of the line, at a whopping 600 or more.

Which Ram to buy (overclocking XP2100)

uh, not to bash OCZ too much, since I have never used it myself, but their chief reseller, who was thought to be a "honest community member", John Apps at ramstore.ca, was caught trying to bribe reviews to get them to lie otutright about their results. that is unacceptable, and makes me think...

    Speakers for $120 or under?

I too recommend the z640s or z540s. I personally have the Altec Lansing 251s and love them. they give great sound coupled with my Soundstorm and the only time I have heard them screw up is in a really tough mp3, and then witha little freq. slider changes it sounded great. they go for about 75 or...

    Girlfriends and hardware? eek...

what do you want to call being a hardware enthusiast? and crack, and all other drugs are unneccessary for REAL men. but lets not get on that. I love my comp.

    Girlfriends and hardware? eek...

no, I just got myself a great girlfriend, what kinda reaction have you folks gotten from partners when you announce your addiction? confusing to work on a relationship out side of a Lian Li, ain't it... ;-(

Game (GTA3) will not even open anymore!

FULLY LEGAL COPY. I go to the directory in C:, double click, the hourglass cursor goes for a second, and then... nothing. nothing. nothing at frickin all. so I try again. over three months, intermittently. I shut down all unneccessary programs. I set video settings very low. I reverted to older...

The Ulltimate RAM/Memory Poll! All opinions wanted!

just so folks know, XMS C2 is now outdated by the LL (low latency) modules. C2 runs at 2-3-3-7 for 3200, while LL is at 2-2-2-6! so, frankly, unless you think LL has a problem or is just way too pricey, then I wonder why you vote C2?
