It's a regional thing. They have been selling them here in Maine for twenty years or so during the summer. The local folks don't buy them very often.

I use these at work daily. Very nice. If you need to drill too, just get some hex head bits. Ours are over two years old and still work like new.

Hi, I have a rather old recording of my grandfather from the 1970's on cassette. Mom would like me to put it on cd's to send family at Christmas. I don't know how to do it. Do I need special software to encode/capture it? I'm using xp btw. thanks

:thumbsup: I still play ut99. If you haven't played it, give it a try. It was/is a really well made game. Ten years later and it still plays beautifully without any issues at all.

You really need more ram for that machine. 512mb would be enough. A fresh install of windows would probably be a good idea too.

My sansa has an fm radio, the reception is good, too. I use it to listen to howard with my sat radio boom box muted at work. The boss hasn't a clue.

You can take a boat ride between the aquarium and the constitution for the price of a subway ride. $1.75. Takes 15 minutes or so. The view is nice and you can't beat the price.

I lived there for nearly three years in the early eighties. (Anchorage) I didn't enjoy the long periods of no sun. Even though it was light during the winter, there would be days and days of cloudy weather. The women seemed to have an attitude too... Sort of a "you can be replaced"...

Check the reviews. I have no idea why anyone would give something that failed anything other than one star, but a lot of them did. I got burned buying this stuff, both sticks went bad. Just an fyi.

He was a great guy, this is very sad news. If my memory is correct, I believe he was the first on Anandtech to post the Hitachi Monitor deal? Those were good times.
