I have the old Direct TV 35 hr Tivo unit that I upgarded to a 120 GB hard drive. If you search for Humas or Humax tivo upgrade there is a walk through on how to image your 35 gb Tivo drive to a larger one. The other option you can do is earch for Tivo upgrade kits. they have all the untilities...
Hell yeah. I got mine!!!!! Woot!!!! All I had to pay was tax total damage was 159.00. When I ordered my card they sold ouyt 30 minutes after I ordered. I think the sale lasted about an hour. Early bird gets the worm!!!!
Why get so worked up on this thread?? Who freaking cares which card is faster. The comparison should be between 150 dollar cards. And we all agree that this 150 dollar card kicks the snot out off every other 150 dollar cards out there. :) Sure it was a 150 bones for an hour or so if you were...
The deal might not be dead. A friend of mine was checking up on his order beacuse it was stuck on processing. The guy told him that they will be recieving more cards to sell at 149.00. I would check the site again today if you missed out. Mine shipped. WOOHOO!!!
True and that works both ways. Germany would have Europe and the US would focus its might against the Japs. The Pacific would be taken much quicker. I'm sure Germany would have taken Russia if that was the only front. Then what??? Germay would have to be content with that frozen wasteland...
I have heard that on average the ATI cards have a little better image quality. I played BF2 on my friends pc,he has a 6800gt. It still looked nice but the colors were a little cartoony. I think my X800XT PE looks a little better. :)
I think it would be safe to say that the vast majority of cards that are being used now are pixel shader 1 and 2. A very tiny percentage are 3. If you were a delveloper it would be in your best interest to make the game scalable.
B.S. By the time Shader model 3 is the standard (remember there are millions of 1.0 and 2.0 card owners out there) that car will be low end. Delvelopers still have to make the games very scalable. The extreme majority of purchased cards out are not 3.0. Just P.R. bullsh!t.
Call me cheap but I ordered a refurbished X800XT PE and sold my 9800 pro. Total cost of upgrade is 144 bones. At that price I could care less about features. I am a happy man!!!
After each time you make a video adjustment in BF2 goto My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache and delete whatever is in the cache folder. This will force the game to re-adjust and optimize the shaders. Hope this helps. :)
You will still be able to buy a new cpu with a agp based motherboard. Get the video card you will be happy with that for a while. Sell the 9800 pro for around a 100 bones and get a refurbed ATI x800 xt PE for 250. the total upgrade will be 150. Cheap and fast.
