Going to second this. This is what we use when we do a XP install at work anymore because of how flaky updating through the normal channels has become over the past few years. I normally just keep a flash drive handy to use for this purpose.

Could always just use ducting to bring in the cold air to the fans if you're worried about putting the whole pc outside. I actually just use my garage as it is not insulated, but i still have normal outlets and all.

I would imagine a bit of the discomfort comes from those being on the ear headphones as opposed to over the ear. I will say that those would certainly be easier to carry around if you do travel with your gaming pc.

I don't doubt that in the slightest, however, the hot keys and controls, fit of the headphones, and the battery life when you are using them as wireless was something the lower end ones did not offer. Also, as someone that games in a fairly noisy home the noise cancelling on them has proved...

I've used quite a few headphones and mic combos over the years and i've yet to find anything that comes close to my g930s. They are a bit out of the price range you mentioned though. 7.1 Surround and a 10+ hour battery life made the choice fairly simple for me...

The reserator would be your best bet then, you wont get the temps you would with a normal watcooling rig but if you cool the cpu and video card you'll be damn near silent wiht that.
