I'm in the process of building and oc'ing my new E6400 machine and have a question about temps displayed by Core Temp. My core 0 is at 20 deg C and my core 1 is at 25 deg C. Is it normal to have that big a difference between the 2?

Thanks for the suggestions on the power supplies. 400-450w would be enough? I'll probably go closer to the 450 then just to be safe. Anyone have suggestions on single video cards or ram?

I have a router with a firewall and run virus software/spware/adware stuff. I've never had a problem without running the XP Firewall or SP2 on my machines. Thanks

In that case, I think I will stick with WinXP but without SP2. I'll only install SP1 and all the patches individually. I don't want all that other junk.... firewall, etc..

If there is no difference between runtime of anything running on WinXp vs WinXp 64 bit, why should I switch knowing that I could possible run into issues with software and/or hardware?

I know if you are running Win XP with most motherboards the P4's with HT are automatically recognized as such and it is enabled.
