I went and played mw3 for a while, haven't tried it yet. ETA: Successful boot and mundane windows tasks working fine with the core clock bumped from 700 to 750 :) How high can I go before I need to start worrying it locking up? And it does have an option to unlock the core voltage control...

I used to overclock all of my stuff lol, back when Return to Castle Wolfenstein was the hot new game :P See what you've done, it isn't enough to upgrade the gpu, psu, now I have to overclock the card too haha... downloading the utility as we speak :/ Before long I'll have the latest mobo cpu...

I am up and running on the new card now. I installed the drivers with the old card in, and did the bios change mentioned above. Thank you for starting me on the troubleshooting path that led to me poking around in the bios. I appreciate your help.

Mouse aiming. It's way better (for me at least). Also being able to map the keyboard to your preferences is better imo. For most non-shooters, consoles are fine, and better for some games.
