Hmm... i have the Armor+, simply because i like the space & removable mobo tray... But what i can't figure out is why everyone is forcing those HDD cages, where you mount them sideways... It doesn't cool very well, and you could put more drives in there simply by using those 3in4 drive...

As far as i know the Black is a lot faster in benches... in real world i wouldn't know. Green spins @5400rpm, while the Black spins @ 7200rpm... I'm sure someone will give a more detailed explanation :)

Okay i had the exact same problem with 2 of my Samsung f1's. Are you possibly using a Gigabyte motherboard? because i did a bit of research when it happened to me, and it happens with 1Tb drives sometimes. The board just decides to switch to 24-bit LBA adressing, or some thing like that...
