IE not saving History logs... Any ideas?

Hi Montag, I don't have any sort of privacy scrubber software running. Its been doing this since I installed the OS... I checked the actual History folder under my profile and saw that it was set to Read Only. Thoght maybe that was it but then I checked other machines (in which the History...

IE not saving History logs... Any ideas?

My IE has not been saving any surfed URL's to history even though its set to do so. When checking the History, its all just blank. I've changed the 'clear history' setting to 30 days even but no luck. Also, after a system restart, already-clicked-links (purple) become blue again as if I've...

Hero Status to you if you can answer this...

I've tried 2 other PCI-E vid cards on my mobo w/ the same results... :(

Yup, when it initially happened last week, we tested 3 diff mobos out of the case so i don't think its a grounding issue. Seemed like a total fluke when it worked again (w/ mobo still out of case) after putting in a regular PCI vid card (my board takes PCI-E). It worked for a full week until...

Is it the same system as in your sig? Try taking out the vid card and see if you're still getting the 'failed due to OC' msg... I wonder if it may be some kinda conflict w/ ATI cards? Or just vid cards in general? What have you tried so far to troubleshoot?

Hi Bozo.. Not sure if you're still monitoring this thread, but the problem came back. =T Originally, it happened after running 3DMark05 & Memtest86... Now yesterday, on a whim cuz my CPU temps were running high, I re-applied AS5 to my HSF/CPU and upon bootup, same problem as before! No...

AH. So I'm not the only one to have experienced something like this! Makes me feel better (kinda). =P I was also thinking of keeping a cheap PCI vid card around just for that purpose. Great points you've brought up tho, and yes, the system was working for about 3 months before this happened...

For background, check this first: Clicky Since that thread, I've gotten a new motherboard, set everything up and still got the same result; 3 or 4 beeps on startup, no post, no display. Also, it started doing different sequences of beeps and also powered off on its own. today, I took it...

Possible dead motherboard? Or something else?

Awwwww.... I bet you miss me. ;) I think I'mma try to have the mobo repaired from motherboardrepair.com... Should only be like $50. Then I can maybe build another system, or do something else with it, like play frisbee. Its an Asus P5AD2 Deluxe. How about I sell it to you for $100 then...

Possible dead motherboard? Or something else?

Unfortunately, I don't have any PCI video cards lying around.. =T I'm really hoping its not the vid card. Replacing a $500 card will not be fun. *UGH* And I can't RMA the mobo either.... out of frustration and carelessness when I was swapping out the RAM chips, I accidentally cracked one of...

Possible dead motherboard? Or something else?

Thanks for the link Spanky. I should've mentioned I already checked up on the AMI error codes in my post. I'm hoping its just the mobo. System was only 3 months old.... =T

    Memtest86 causing hardware failures?

Sorry again about the x-post. I saw the link that Spanky posted, I had already checked up on the AMI error codes the nite it happened, sorry I didn't mention that already in my original post. It just seems strange that the system was working perfectly until I ran Memtest. All components (mobo...
