Nonsense. PCIe x8 is approx equivalent to 8xAGP. Why? Because PCIe bandwidths are quoted as simultaneous send+receive. But for a video card 99% of data is ONE WAY. Look at all the benchmarks where a PCIe x16 card is moved to a PCIe x8 slot. The performance loss is so small its not worth...
