I suppose. It's just a little disheartening to hear all these stories of great overclocks, and me not being able to get past 2.5Ghz, especially after spending double the amount to get expensive RAM. You never seem to hear about the unsuccessfull overclocks, so these forums kinda paint a skewed...
Help. Can't overclock my P4P800 non deluxe!
I've got a P4 2.4C / P4P800 non deluxe / 2 x Corsair XMS-3500. I can overclock fine till around 215Mhz with CPU External Frequency 215Mhz, but anything above that my system won't boot, and I get the message "Overclocking Failed" in the POST screen...
Can someone please clarify something for a newbie? I'm just wondering when people are saying use 5:4 or 3:2 ratio, are they talking about the "DRAM Frequency" setting in the P4P800 bios?
