Yeah one thing about extended mode is that I will lose track of the mouse cursor. And the problem is that my TV is not next to my monitor, in fact it's across the room. I use it primarily to watch video playbacks. I did play around with what you said it works without using ffdshow, but i will...
Auric,
Your suggestion actually depends on the video player application. For example, Windows Media Player has to be shown in full screen or else you'll be stuck with the GUI of the application showing. BSPlayer would be a good candidate for this since the playback is not inside a GUI...
I'm not sure what type of computer use you are, but if you do some type of gaming, or something else that requires a reasonable amount of RAM I would keep the 1gig and put aside some money for another 1gig ram. You will need 2gigs of ram if you game. I usually play BF2 while having some other...
i can't use the TV as a main display (i dont think i can), but I managed to solve this by doing a work around. Apparently this is a bug with the new nvidia drivers (90.xx). THe work around is if you do playback using ffdshow, they can do the adjust the ratio correctly. Nvidia are a bunch of...
Just video's. The desktop view on my TV is 1280 x 780 or whatever, and it won't fit on my TV but that's fine, I'm just using the TV as a display for video playback.
The way I did it was go to configurations and selected Full Screen and I selected the TV as the display for full screen. But...
So I just got the first issue done, getting colors to work.
Now I'm testing out a movie which is I believe 16:9 (wide screen), but on my TV it displays it as 4:3. So there's a distortion, and it looks awkward. How can I configure it to display either 16:9 or 4:3?
The control panel for...
Ok I managed to find an old s-video adapter (probably for one of my super old nvidia cards), and it has svideo and composite outputs attached to it. I hooked it up and connected it to my current composite cable, restarted and voila! colors. Thanks for the info yoyo, saved me some money from...
Thanks yoyo, you're right, I'm taking a closer look at both the s-video on the ATI and the one that came with my video card. the pins are located differently, i'm surprised my ATI card fitted into the video card's s-video port. My ATI s-video has a total of 8 pins, two on the top and 3 and 3 on...
Well I wasn't sure what the adapter was to begin with, although my initial thought was that it was component since it had 3 cables attached to the adapter. Anyways, I need to get a new adapter (S-Video), apparently it's suppose to be included with the video card but I do not see it so I will...
Well the composite cable I have is a standard black one, I got that one mainly because it's long so it can reach my TV. Do you know where I can buy the three yellow video composite cables (for fairly cheap) and have it extended by current cable since it is long enough to wrap around my room to...
