Picked up the Microsoft wireless kb/mouse yesterday. Really needed it for my HTPC system and my new 47" HDTV 1080p. Can't beat the price of $15 for a quality wireless kb/mouse!
Just picked up two myself as I missed it last time. Brand new as they were properly wrapped. That's the one thing I was worried about. What if I got the ones that were returned the last time?
So far so good. No dead or stuck pixels, no humming or buzzing sound and both DVIs work. Going to...
Install Intel TAT or CoreTemp and see if the temps are the same. These two programs actually read the true temp from a probe inside the CPU itself. That would give you a more likely reading on what the temp actually is.
I've ordered quite a few items from them since I'm in CA and do not have to pay taxes. They typically ship the same day if not the next day. Free shipping too. The items typically ship from a location that is closest to you. For example, all my orders shipped from CA.
I originally inquired...
Got an e6420 earlier this week which I ordered from www.shopblt.com. Finally got time to put it together. These newer C2D seem to be really good. Still testing however I'm at 3.45Ghz @ 1.37 vCore underload running Dual Prime. I'm shooting for 3.5-3.6Ghz which should be doable..
Get it from www.shopblt.com. Ordered it during the weekend and got it Tuesday. These newer C2D seem to be really good. Still testing, however got mine upto 3.45Ghz @ 1.4 vCore Dual Prime stable. Trying to work my way upto 3.5-3.6Ghz range which should be doable.
CoreTemp is the one to believe as it reads the true temp of the core while EasyTune & Smartfan just read the temp outside of the core. My Temps using a E6400@3.3Ghz 1.35v with CoreTemp are 42C Idle, 55C Load.
That Ultra X Finity 500W should be more than enough power. I also have that in my C2D rig with a E6400 overclocked to 3.3Ghz, 4 SATA drives, 2 DVDRW drives and 6 80mm fans connected.
That score is about right. I get alittle over 5500+ in 3DMark06 using the following:
GA-965P-DS3
E6400@3.3Ghz
2GB of Corsair PC2-6400 DDR2
eVGA 7900GT OC Superclocked
WinXP w/SP2
