hey guys, my dad moved around the power cables for the monitor/pc and stuff and got it working again. i have no idea what happened, should i be worried my pc will die again? i checked the temps again and i got this: is there anything i should be wary of? could my mobo/psu/hardware etc still...

do they have the same symptoms as me? can you please link me to these threads? im thinking of getting a gigabyte mobo, i was originally turned off the asus ones coz i saw alot of bad reviews about them. msi seem a good option too i dont have anything against asrock if their mobo is the culprit...

are you certain its the mobo? could this be a psu problem?

okay, thanks sephire ill try all that. all the cables do seem snug. i havent swapped anything out except for removing the ram.

sorry, i think i have my terminologies wrong by it wont boot, i mean i turn it on and the fan spins and led light comes on for 1/2 or 1/4 of a second and then it all just turns off. i cant get into the bios. i checked the cpu temps when i set it all up (at idle), and they were all low 30s.

everything was working. i booted, installed the operating system, installed drivers, played computer games, watched youtube...pretty much everything. then all of a sudden it died :C

is this any different to clearing cmos? coz ive pressed the cmos button on the back i/o panel and it hasnt changed anything. if not, ill read my mobo manual and see how to do a bios reset with the jumpers. sorry guys, this is my first build :C

well i have a ddr2 stick (i think) in my old comp, but i dont know if that will work on my p67 board. i checked the 24pin/8pin mobo connectors and the 6pin x 2 power cables for my graphics card my psu has 2 8pin cables for the mobo, one is a straight 8 and the other is 2x4pins. i used the 8pin...

okay i took the top ram out, same thing happens. took the bottom one out too (no ram), same thing happens. put the bottom one back in, same thing happens. rules out a memory problem i guess?

to remove the memory module, do i just flip back the white holder thingies and pull the thing out?
