Yep, I have checked both of those. I have used DVDs which and still no sound comes from the center channel.

The speaker works when I use the Audigy Mixer test button, but not during any DVDs or music or anything else. Any suggestions?

I'm just wondering if there is a simple way to print out all my mp3's short of typing them all. I nkow i could screenshot them and take 5 housr doing it, but is there an mp3 program that has the option to print your list or something? Thanks in advance...

like i said, i have tried a different cable, i have tried all the jumper settings, i have tried another drive. i have tried everything everyone has posted about 5 times. i am just getting so frustrated because i hate not being able to take care of something myself... thanks for all your help...

i mean the master on the secondary IDE. not the slave, the MASTER. i noticed this problem before unplugging the cd-rom drive. i just want to remind you that the slave drive works on the secondary, just not the master.

i tried setting everything up normally, thats when i noticed the problem with the cdrom. the cable is hooked up correctly.

yeah it's set to slave, i've tried another cdrom on the master and it doesn't work... the slave works fine :( :( :(

nope that didn't work, changing the desktop doesn't help, nor chkdsk or anything else :( i have backed everything up, but if there are any last suggestions, feel free, haha... thanks a lot for your help
