I wonder if the 1011 and 1015.002 beta is bad too. I had to update to at least 1011 to support a new processor update AMD 2400+ for the A7v266-e...I keep getting an error on boot ERROR: can't write ESCD. Asus has no idea why nor does anyone on the net when searching.....I need help too!

Update went to the 1015.002 beta bios and it didnt help clear the error...Just created more problems like reporting my processor as a Duron and in the bios the tempratures were reading way to LOW. So I went back to the 1011 bios...Still have the Error message when booting to windows. Anyone...

I have an Asus A7V266-E mobo...I wanted to update the processor to an AMD 2400 with the Thouroghbred core and knew I needed bios version 1011 for that. So I ordered it. First time Asus sent me 2 chips that wouldnt even post! Then a different tech sent one that posted but gave me the error...

Thank you... I guess I'll just leave my old earthlink addy in there.. Since I dont want to take a chance to have my private email sold or worse spammed.

Thanks for that link..It did help some but also opened up another can of worms as there were so many solutions there....but it did narrow some thoughts down a bit.

I noticed I can't use a hotmail addy in my ersonal profile and I was wanting to update my email address. I never use my private email on forums or any where. Just my relatives have it. I found I get no spam that way... Do you keep our email addresses safe from spybots etc etc. Do you sell...

Our Best buy store has 2 left as of today March 6th.... And if you check best buy.com you may find them..I bought the visionteck ti4600 for $399 and I don't care if you can get it cheaper...At least I got one.... Lart
