I looked hard at the Q701's and liked allot of the features and colors, so I'll reconsider them.
I'm also looking at the HD598's again because the cord length on the Beyerdynamics is to long and not replaceable. I'm sure a 10' cord is great for stereo use, but I only need a 3' cord. At...
Thanks for the input everybody.
I'm leaning towards the Beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro, mostly because they're Semi-open and neutral sounding. They're suppose to be really comfortable and the Premium version even more because of less clamping force, but it's out of my price range. The DT-990...
Obviously this is a subjective issue and I will attempt to find common ground.
Most gamers I know, use table & floor fans to cool their environments. Those of you that do and are open back headphone users can help me narrow my search by answering one question: Can you hear your table &...
I've visited head-fi, YouTube, Amazon, Newegg, Forbes, CNET, PC Gamer, headphones.com, overclocking.com and countless others. They've all offered valuable information regarding the products they reviewed, like this one...
In essence, this thread is part of my homework.
My gaming environment hasn't changed in years and I have a bedroom dedicated for it. It's nice and quiet until the family starts stirring. Even though I have a decent set of speakers, I don't normally use them for FPS. Speakers just don't...
I bought a pair of Bose QC25's to replace the 280's a few weeks back because I had $125 credit at Dell and had to use it by June. They are a great Noise Cancelling headphone and love them for my iPad & phone but they're pretty flat sounding. But they are extremely comfortable and lightweight...
I'm mostly a FPS kind of guy and have always used closed back headphones, mainly for the noise isolation properties. My old pair of Sennheiser HD280's finally bit the dust, so it's time for some new cans.
I'm was going to buy the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x but my research showed a consensus for...
I was trying to stay away from the window mount AC units because my windows aren't compatible with a horizontal mount unit. They're tall and narrow, so the only alternative is to get the portable floor mount AC units that have 6" hot air discharge hose that you run through a flange type gasket...
I guess radiator would have been a term but condenser also applies because to "condense" means to change from vapor to liquid and this could account for the need to periodically replace the fluid, because it has vaporized from the heat....sounds good anyway:o
All I'm trying to do is to...
I'm trying to cool down the ambient air temps in my room where I'm running my gaming pc and a server. The gamer's a 3500+ running at 2.662 mhz with a Thermalright XP-90, a Seasonic S12 PWS and BFG 6800GT with an Artic Cooler. They're housed in an Antec SLK 3000 with Nexus 120's all around...
I'm having the same problem, even with my settings set to low. I thought I was CPU limited because I'm still an XP3000 on a NF7S, with 1 gb of ram but I'm wondering if the 6800GT up to par. I've disabled my fastwrites and updated my chipset and video driver. Any suggestions?
I could probably lower the temps a little by putting a higher cfm fan and the AS5 on it but I like the Silencer because it's quiet. The Alpha sits pretty close to the PWS and it probably picks up heat from it, so that's why I was intrigued with the P-180 and it's seperate compartment.
One of my PC's is an oc'd 2500 Barton at 3200+ with an Alpha 8045 HS. While researching the XP-90 HS for another upgrade I'm doing, I came across the SI-97A. The reviews are positive for it and so I'm considering upgrading the Alpha to the SI-97A with the Nexus 92mm Silent on it.
My idle...
Thanks everyone...I ordered the EPoX from NewEgg yesterday and a A64 3200 with E3 stepping from Ewiz. I can't wait to put in my BFG 7800GT see how she does :)
