Got an eMachine T6524 and I'm going to get a 6800GS so I'm going to need more power then the 300W I got in right now. I got cdrom, dvd burner, hdd, 2 sticks of ram and 1 fan. I want something I can use for a long time and maybe add afew more fans later on. Any ideas? I kinda wanna keep the price...

:( Wish PC Club did offer 6800gs on their prebuilt customs...maybe ABS does.

because at the site I was thinking about getting it from the 6600GT were only 100 bucks more. i just want a system to play RTS/RPG games on :(. i really dont wanna build it myself though. i might just get an HP and get the 6800GS.

I just dont feel like building it myself. I guess I could go lower and forget the whole SLI thing and get 6800GS

Is it worth the extra 100 bucks for the Dual 6600 GT 128MB DDR3 cards? I'm planning on buying the system from PC Club for under $1000 (not bad). Also do anyone know if the 6600 or the 6600 GT can over clock much? Also is it a good idea to overclock on SLI? One more question I will only play RTS...

Thats just it this computer is a HP/Compaq. 3700+ but I'm 100% sure you cant overclock cuz bios will be locked

I might do some gaming...RTS/some RPG. DVD/CD burning, every day stuff nothing much unless I find something I wanna do heh so I dunno.

Thinkin about getting an HP but one has a 512KB cache and other is 1MB. Is it worth a 50buck diff? This is only about cache not about HP or building my own :) Thank you.

A friend of mine just got a compaq sr1650nx but he has a 6800GS in his other computer and wants to put it in the compaq (since its better) but hes not sure if there will be problems with ati onboard with nvidia. I said no but hes scared. He said hes seen afew people with problems about it so...

Yikes! 42 pages too much to read so I'll just ask. I'm thinking about getting this for a A64 3200+. Should I be worried at all about the newegg reviews? Since many say board is dead right out of box. I just want a board I can get and put it all together and hopefully not fiddle with anything...

I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking about the Epox EP-9NPA+Ultra or one of the Asus but it seems some people get boards that are dead out of the box or they are great. Didn't know motherboards were such a gamble. :(

I'm getting the same motherboard but cant find a opteron 144 on newegg or tigerdirect and zipzoomfly is out :(. Wheres another good place to buy an opteron 144?

I did make another thread afew days ago on the same board but it was the platinum. Not sure if its the exact board just with fewer add-ons. But this is the last issue on my mind so I just wanna be 100% sure I picked the right board. I'm going to get an Antec 550W PSU so that will be enough power...

I think everything is in order. Just would like to know if that PSU can handle the MSI, 3 fans , vid card, dvd burner and one hard drive. Also will the ram work well with the MSI board? I'm going to order this next week if all goes well. Budget was $800. Also how long would you think I can keep...
