Are you getting any POST errors? Check your memory. I had the exact same problem on a PC last week. I was using a cheap brand (PQI) and for whatever reason, the MB would not accept the memory. I reseated it on a number of occasions to no avail. I simply switched out to another brand (Wintec)...
This is a great cpu/mobo combo for the average to above average user. I built a PC with this and a cheap case from Ebuyer (thanks Anandtech!) along with some spare parts. It turned out great and the young man I built it for loves it. Perfect for schoolwork, Internet, chatting, simple games etc.
