Cost and configuration. I need CPU and storage (and to a lesser extent, RAM), but no need for a dGPU. SFF cases are expensive. Prebuilt SFF doesn't generally have the parts or flexibility I want, or cost too much, or all of the above. Niche yes, nonexistent no.
