Update: I called Antec customer support just for the heck of it, they seemed surprised to hear that their own PS in their own case wouldn't reach. They did offer to send me a 24 pin to 24 pin extension, the guy said he thought it was about 6 inches long. I'll post back with a cost when I know more.
I just ran into this issue last night, the 24 pin cable in my Antec SmartPower 2.0 was too short to reach the connector on the Gigabyte GA-K8N Ultra motherboard after I mounted it in my P180 case. Went to a local shop and talked to a guy who had the exact same problem with a different case where...
I don't think you need to be "concerned". If you are unhappy with the amount of standy and/or talk time you get with your current battery, try and find out if there are better options.
Setting up sendmail isn't really much of a project. It would take you anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours, tops.
You could set up BIND I suppose, as long as you're willing to be VERY vigilant with regard to future security updates.
For a project--can't say it would be terribly...
It all depends on what the purpose of the box is. If you have it on a network (I'm assuming you do), the first thing you should do is secure it better than Redhat does by default. It doesn't matter if you have critical data on the box or not, you should take steps to improve security no matter...
root may not need a GUI generally, but if he's just starting out there's no harm if it will help him figure things out.
Justin, if it tells you unknown command then you don't have /usr/X11R6/bin in your path. Try the command with the entire path in it, like this: /usr/X11R6/bin/startx
That...

I followed you up to this point. You'll have to explain "some weird name" and "produced an error" in considerably more detail before I can help. :)
Check /etc/inittab to see what your default...
DOS and Windows versions of fdisk are limited, I believe, to creating ONE primary partition. The rest must be secondary. I've never used PartitionMagic.
*nix versions of fdisk will quite happily create up to FOUR primary partitions. I wouldn't necessarily say that an OS needs to be installed to...

Well, you have found the source of your own problem. X Windows doesn't react well to abruptly swapping the video hardware. Either the X server is the wrong one for your new video card or you are attempting to display X at resolutions/refresh rates that the card can't handle.
You'll need to...
There are scads of threads in this forum on that very subject. I'd wager that using the Search function above, plugging in the words "dual boot" will help you find most of the discussions about this.
Good luck!
