I do not have an Amex card. So that's a no-go for me. The 290 was $260 after taxes and rebates. 290x was $302. I decided the 290 would be more than sufficient for my 1200p needs. I don't think it's worth it for me. Better to put that $40 towards my next upgrade. Great deals anyway :thumbsup:

I ordered Asus R9 290 DCII OC for $240 after MIR. Oh well, so much for the willingness to wait. :D I was hoping a $249 960Ti with 4GB VRAM and near 290 performance. Wishful thinking maybe.

Well, I can afford all GPUs on the market. My friend couldn't in his current circumstances. That's why I gave my 7850 away. With the light gaming I do, I personally cannot justify spending more that $350 on a GPU. $300 is my personal sweet spot. Would my PSU be able to handle an OCed 290x? I...

Perhaps I should've rephrased. I only do some light gaming. 4 hours or so a week. I am fine with not gaming for 1-2 months. Is there a rumored date for next-gen GPUs? Another option is to get a cheap one off of e Bay and use that till the next-gen launches.
