Is there much performance loss when going 1x512 with that board? My budget may not allow 1 gig at the moment and I heard that its better to have 2xwhateversize memory because its dual channel.

Ah, great! I heard something about 24 pins, 20 pins or something similar to that and was worried I couldn't use a normal psu with it. :)

Regardless if its generic or not, will the thing work with that board? Or do these new boards require some new type ? :P
