my computer idles at about 0.984V in windows and ramps up to about 1.3v on full load. I was thinking maybe sometimes the 0.984V is too low for windows to boot? But then again, doesn't the cpu only clock down to 1600MHz after windows boots, so the voltage should be good when the I hit the power...

what kind of temps should I expect to see if I run prime on a stock i5-2400. Is there any point running prime here? We're not overclocking, so we know the system should be stable.

i think we installed the cooler correctly. we pushed the pins in until it clicked. And then we turns the pins a bit following the arrows. We checked the underside of the mobo, and it looked like everything went through. I'll double check though. oh btw, as a side question, I'm assuming if...

hi lehtv, is there noticeable differences between the $200 gtx 560 ti you linked and the other ~$200 560 tis on newegg? Or are they all more or less the same? I noticed this one has 2 fans, but a few of the others have higher clock speeds.

He says it doesn't really matter how much space he has. I think his primary concern is playing D3. Now that you mention it though, I think going the ssd & hdd route might be better because it gives him more versatility and options if he does need more than 120GB in the future.

thanks for the suggestions. is there a big difference between the hd7850 and the 560ti? would it be better if I don't get the Seagate hard drive and spend the extra money to upgrade the video card? I know a 7850 is probably overkill for D3, but I'm thinking it may be a good way to futureproof...
