MBM can read the cpu temp just fine. fanGUI seems to be written mostly for Dell laptops, hence it does not work on my Eurocom. I was curious if anyone knew of any other software similar to fanGUI.
fanGUI reads the cpu temp. When a user defined temp is reached it turns on the laptops fan. I used it with great success on Dells. It will not pick up the temp of the laptop (Eurocom) cpu that I now have.
I have tried Motherboard Monitor and it does see the cpu temp but it is not a software...
Seems fanGUI is mostly for a Dell system. Does anyone know of any other software that I can use to control fans when a certain temp is reached. I have a eurocom laptop and fanGUi doesnt pick up the cpu temp. Thanks
Been away for sometime and a little out of touch. Just tried to use Kazaa and downloaded the 2.5 version. I sure dont like this version. What are you all useing these days?
Just took out my XP2000+ Palomino core and put in a XP1700+ B core. Wow, this thing can oc like crazy! Tried it at 12.5x 166.92= 2086 and it ran just great. Not needing to oc that much I backed it down to 10.5X166.92 -1752 mhz and it is running great.
My question is this: I use a Gigabyte...
well right now I am running 12.5x140=1750 I think I may be able to get 150 in bios setting for 12.5x150=1875. Might have to keep my eye open for a nice Thoro "B" core.
There is no way in gods green earth this thing will boot if I set the dips at 166! I have a XP2000+ (Palomino core) If I set the multiplier dips at default and the fsb dips at 133 it will boot and run just fine at 12.5x133= 1662.5 I then can go into bios and slowly inch up the fsb. Right...
Ok, its pretty obvious how to set multipliers manually on the dips on the
GA-7VAXP up to 12.5x. Question is, can one go to higher multiples ie: 17x,
18x? If so what is the combinations/dips used? Or is there a decent site to read
about higher end multpliers for the GA-7VAXP?
Thanks for the tips. I now have MBM set up and will run it I guess. Its funny because on my last Asus board I had cpu temps of about 43*C and now with this Gigabyte board and with the exact same hardware my cpu temps are about 32-33*C ! I get these same cpu temps with MBM, the Gigabyte utility...
Curious as to what you are all using and whats out there that is worthy of trying? I dont care much for Motherboard Monitor and the Gigabyte Utility is annoying.
Well I tried everything and no way this thing would come to life! Finaly lucked out and found a local with the same board that was toast so I picked up the board, swapped out the bios chip and away we went! All seems well now. Does anyone know a place I could send my old bios chip to and have...
Flashed bios on a A7V133 and all went well. It said flash was successfull. I
powered down and went to start up again and the computer will not boot!
Looks like it is booting ie: cdrom, cdrw. floppy etc lights flash like
normal and then there is a beep (one beep) and the computer just shuts down...
