I have one of these as well as an MX700 which I currently use. I like the tilt wheel for horizontal scrolling. However, I think that the range on the device stinks a lot.
It's very sensitive on where the mouse is in relation to the receiver whereas the MX700 doesn't seem to care all that...
I have a Nokia 6800. It flips open with a full on keyboard. Quite robust and reliable. Interfaces with Outlook and Palm software for calendar/schedule management.

If you're riding primarily for training, I would say that you should just get heavier components. It'll make lighter ones feel all the sweeter if you swap out the training ones, esp. the wheels...

To be honest, I become kind of tired of the peanut component that is such a majority in these flavors.
