Was it a corrupt Windows installation?

Thanks Dead Parrot Sketch.... I spotted those threads last Friday... Prometheus over there is very helpful.... I tried one of his suggested memory settings, but no good... I then decided to update the BIOS... Unfortunately, the random resets truly are random as it reset half-way through the BIOS...

But that's not really a solution.... Runing the RAM slower than the spcifications is simply avoiding the problem.... The main reason for buying this motherboard was to run my RAM at dual channel DDR 400......

What do you mean in sync? I'm running it at stock settings which is 133 and DDR400... 400 is a multiple of 133.... In fact, it reseted on me when I was updating the BIOS!!!! I RMA'd it back to newegg... but without any in stock, I wonder when I will be getting a new board =( ....... It's just...

Bad news for me... I got the board (8SQ800) two days ago... along with 2 sticks of brand new Corsair Low Latency DDR 400 256MB RAM, new ATI Radeon 9500, new WD 120GB SE. That's pretty much my setup... and it booted fine, installed WinXP and Service Pack fine.. Then, it started to slow down...
