Just got off the phone with a couple of corporate reps at different vendors. It looks like the next batch for most places isnt coming in until the 18th and orders fulfilled on the 19th.

My backorder with CDW-G got moved back further. I'm sure there is pent up demand but retailers moving backorder dates even further definitely adds another straw to the low supply/low yield thought.

It will be the same price tomorrow at CDW-G, that's just the way their prices are. You pay more when it's capitalized/net terms.

Yeah, but they are rough on prices anyways. 7700k is at $395 , 6700k $393. Going from those its like a $30 bump like everyone else.

Think I will probably wind up with The Asus Prime or one of the Biostar boards. Seem to be the only ones that didn't feel like they needed to throw "GAMING GAMING GAMING" into the board name, lol.

I'm guessing they are moving from 1800x to 8700k for that sweet single thread performance. I'd be curious to know real world differences though since I may wind up going with a 1700x(OC to 1800) if the shortages turn up real..... or CDW-G gets no stock.

Moving away from the 6600k and on to a 8700k if I can track one down. Not seeing any preorders on parts and any mainstream outlets doing major reviews seems odd to me since intel already broke the nda by announcing the parts. Will be pairing it up with: Corsair Air 240 GTX 1070 H115i 960 Evo...
