So in the BIOS does it have two devices listed DVD and CD.. .or just one "cd" device? I haven't seen the BIOS on your board but logic would dictate that the master device on that chain would be the one to use. You can just take the slave device out of the chain... if that doesn't do it your CD...

Every once in a while my machine will lock up... or sometimes I will wake up in the morning with some XP BSOD kernel error screen. When I reboot the Intel RAID will be non-existent and I'll get the no boot device error. Hmm. Sometimes if I go into BIOS and just turn the RAID bootrom from ON...
