Not sure if my mobo has SPDIF out...

Ah, forgot to mention that bit eh ;) Sadly I know next to nothing about HDMI setups. So good luck. What renethx said sounds promising.

    PSU for an i7 build

Apparently noone recommending the 750TX reads Anandtech's own reviews. :P http://www.anandtech.com/casec...howdoc.aspx?i=3445&p=9 Dunno what other sites say, so you're probably fine off with it. Just see their review first. It's possible their results are specific to their test model...

ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution x58 (Video Preview Added)

Awesome. The X58 chipset + an i7 would be disgustingly fast.

Upgraded Motherboard from P35 to P45

Regardless if it still appears to perform adequately, it's advisable you upgrade anyways(unless you physically cannot, in which cause I say give it a try). Or get the lateast drivers from Intel rather than the "shit-set" CD-supplied drivers.

Not sure if my mobo has SPDIF out...

Any cable will do to connect it to your audio setup. Just grab an RCA cable(or any cable that fits) to bridge the connection. And as far as I know, you wouldn't connect S/PDIF to your video card... it should go straight to your audio equipment.

    DDR2 1066 substancially better than 800?

From what I've read on overclocking forums, DDR2@1066's higher clock rate more than makes up for its higher CAS/RAS latencies.

Looking for a good, affordable router with a working QoS

This is true. I don't know if the OP has the hardware for a gigabit network, however. He never said anything about it. But it's definitely a much cheaper alternative to a router with a built in gigabit switch(which often only have 4-5 ports, anyways)

    Temperature reading software.

CoreTemp is for CPU core temps, however. I've never seen it read any other temperature sensors.

    CoolerMaster V8 Reviewed

Thats good news, I've been wanting to see how it performs after seeing how good it looks. I had this same problem. @OP - It's nice to compare the test unit against other units you've reviewed and benchmarked, but it's probably not wise to ONLY include graphs that have all of those on them...

    Temperature reading software.

The only temperature reading software I use currently is CoreTemp. However, I know that SpeedFan is also quite popular with the performance crowd, though it can be a bit iffy when reading your temperature sensors(last time I used it, it constantly read one sensor as 127C, which would probably...

    limiting bandwidth to one computer

The Premium/Standard/Express etc classes aren't really rate limiting, they're just traffic prioritizing. It's not going to help much unless you've got a connection shared by a lot of people - take a look at the script link I posted, it should help you rate limit the person in question(meaning...

    limiting bandwidth to one computer

    Oops, double post.

    limiting bandwidth to one computer

You must be missing something if you can't limit someones bandwidth on a host-specific basis - DDWRT can do that. See here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Quality_of_Service and here: http://lartc.org/howto/lartc.ratelimit.single.html for a script on host-specific rate limiting...

Looking for a good, affordable router with a working QoS

I never said DDWRT(or tomato for that matter) weren't valid alternatives, and they certainly are damn good router firmwares, but when was the last time a router came with those pre-installed? I didn't know that the OP was at a knowledge level where he/she was prepared to flash their router to...

New MOBO Suggestion. A little help please...

Currently, the highest end chipsets out are from the 700 series(nForce) and the Intel x4* stuff. You should try and find a board that has one of these, but its on the cheap for the best performance. Dunno what brands I'd recommend, but a good place to start would be a filtered Newegg search -...
