I tried that too. But just 5x with different variations. The thing doesn't seem to recognize the reset button till it has booted up. I think my hand is cramping from holding the button down so long :(
I guess I don't even want to use this but kills me to throw it out or maybe rma?
Tried admin admin about 200x. Reset with pin until power led went off release button ap reboots and password still does not work for admin admin enginus aws377ap. Emailed support said same thing hold pin 30 seconds. What to try?
Well I found the 3600x I thought I had. Turns out my son had a untested free 5600x and had put it ontop of where I thought the 3600x is :) so.. well now I get to see if it works and then leave it how it is to use with 3600x give away box.
Thanks for your opinion. What would be nice is a motherboard that can flash with out a cpu. I thought the whole thing is funny nothing was mission critical as it was for a child who already has 5 different gaming devices. I will make a fs thread if that would please you.
Well not exactly. I think amd used to lend people cpus to flash or I could wait and rma the board. Now i have a board that needs 3 series cpu and a 2 series cpu that needs a new home (i do seem to have endless 32gb ddr4 sets tho. Found two more).
Doing some testing but seems the 6800xt with...
Not sure if this is funny or dumb. The 3600x didn't boot in the 3.0 bios asrock (that I flashed) because it is a 5600x ^_o (that's what I get for not even cleaning the paste off and looking at it.) today booted the tomahawk b550 that came (again for 78$ but this time with no box :( ) booted up...
I like how you say can't tell diff in speed but don't get the drive that drops to 2500mb/s write (it does seem like there is a issue with the hynix many people rma the drive and same results with rma drive. (But my post already said I went with the t500 and op doesnt mention it) shocked I...
Well i guess it's prob a thing for people who need 8tb of scratch space. I went with crucial 2tb t500 (reviewed better then p44 pro sildium) and think the guys hynix p41 Plat is just a fluke or something was happening in the background like typical windows. I'll look on amazon see if anyone has...
This is really what people do? I am between a hynix p41 2tb for 140 and a t500 crucial for 150. I used to get 4tb s770 or something for 200ish but looks like bad prices right now.
I did notice a solidem p41 for cheaper didnt know that brand was trustable.. ;) thnx now i will look (but already...
tomahawk from Amazon came for the $78 it took 23 mins to swap boards, it had a bios date from 6/23 and booted fine with 5700x no further testing done on 3600x cpu will wait for next board. Seems tiny bit slower with thr 5700x running 3200mhz ram compared to the 2700x and 2133 mhz. But it could...
Installed with 2700x didn't realize maltise cpu ment 3000 series. It showed like flashed and worked fine but wouldn't work with 5700x. So I called it a fake bios. Doesn't make sense why show it flash show its version but not work;) so it's a fake flashed bios
So if it doesn't boot with 3600x and doesn't boot with 2700x.... perhaps the 3600x is dead. Will see when next motherboard comes to test it.
Can't flash a board that doesn't post/boot (well maybe blind? ) switched a bios chip before on a 775 that went bad.
Not even mad, but obviously the process is flawed to have to do all this. (Flashed with special tool like it said to and still didn't work.) Will i have to do a special process to get the tomahawk to boot a 3600x and 5700x? Will find out tomorrow morning or tonight if I get around to it.
Well.... I honestly don't remember, just know I installed the fake 5.6 bios with the regular way then the 5.6 with special tool, it all worked. Then foolishly downgraded to 3.0 hoping the 3600x (which honestly could be dead not sure where the cpu is from) would work and I could retire the 2700x...
