Got mine yesterday, and while installing the ram, noticed a burn mark , where one of the tiny chips or resistors had gotten very hot- the little chip is actually loose on the board. I don`t want to take a chance damaging my Crucial DDR, or my XP1600, so I`m RMAing it.

I read in Pauls Abit KT7 faq, the KT7A rev.1.3 officially supports the morgan core Durons, and XP processors. I recently assembled a KT7E(not supported) mb, using a 1gig Duron, and it runs fine- the only thing is , when you run CPUID, it shows "not supported" in the SSE instructions box.

I just got hooked up to cable, and the tech who did the installation recommended a cable router to network the rest of the PC`s in my house- I have a hub that I had planned to use, but am unsure after speaking to the tech. Some help please?

Already checked- they say it is possible to install faster cpu`s, but "we don`t recommend it". I was trying to find someone who had actually done it. Thanks Vincent.

I built a T-Bird system for a friend, who gave me his old system as partial trade. I was wondering if I could swap in a 100mhz P3 (750, 800), in place of the P2 400, or maybe an overclocked Celeron II ? SiSoft says it`s an Intel MB, with a BX chipset. Anyone else had any luck with this?

Tried various settings, to no avail. VCDs go full screen, but not DVDs. I don`t mind the black bars, but I`d like to tape some stuff for my kids, and their TV is not very big, so full screen is better for them. A little help, please? Your replies are appreciated.
