Does anyone know what goes into verifying these purchases? I.E. are they going to send the receipt back to CompUSA to verify that it was legit, or otherwise examine my order in the CompUSA system? I'll cut right to the chase: would it be possible to just forge a receipt? Obviously not easy if...

Hint: A lot of vendors are selling rebadged Plextors, such as Iomega, TDK, and (I have a suspicion) Cendyne. Don't limit your search just to good deals on name-brand Plextors.

Roger that. RealMagic updates their drivers more diligently that Creative Labs. Search around on the net for a patch that will allow you to install RealMagic H+ drivers on your Dxr3 for added stability. As for someone saying that this product was obsolete, there's not that much more you can do...

Can anyone give me some info on what makes a good CDRW? I know all about CD-Rs and the desirability of pthalocyanine, etc. What about for CDRWs? Are these Verbatims worth a look? Thanks

I have the same kit except with a 6x DVD drive and it's read everything I've thrown at it short of vinyl LPs... FWIW.
