I'm in the final stages of a new workstation build and am really really torn between 2 boot drives:
the OCZ Revodrive X2 240GB
the OCZ Vertex 3 240GB
Which one do you guys think I should get? Which would have better performance and by what margin would it be better?
As always, thanks for the help.
Is it possible to put two GTX 590s in SLI on a P67 board that isn't rated for Quad SLI? Is running two 590s in SLI essentially the same as running two 580s in SLI? Must the mobo have the NF200 onboard to support a dual 590 configuration?
I'm about to begin ordering for a 3D Vision Surround...
The Maximus IV Extreme has 2 SATA controllers. I know that the Intel P67 controller has 2 SATA III ports and 4 SATA II ports and the Marvel controller has 2 SATA III ports for a total of 4 SATA III and 4 SATA II.
My question is this: can I put two SATA III SSDs on the Marvel controller in RAID0...
I've been reading a lot lately about SSDs and two things seem very obvious:
1. They're insanely fast.
2. No one seems to be super sure how well they'll perform in the long run.
I've read all over anandtech and other tech sites and just cannot find any solid information on how well drives will...
I'm actually a bit embarrassed because I hate what consoles have done to PC gaming, but I was unaware of the port-like nature of Oblivion. It was my first Bethesda style RPG and I absolutely loved it, not to mention I've heard similar things from other fellow PC gamers and in reviews of the...
I think we can all agree that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was and still is one of the best games ever created. It's certainly one of my favorites, and now, with Skyrim on the horizon, my excitement cannot be expressed...BUT with that excitement comes a certain amount of apprehension. I've...
I'll be mainly using the Adobe Production Premium Suite: Premiere Pro CS5, After Effects CS5, etc. Lots of media encoding and special effects and video editing, so yeah, highly threaded apps. I'll also be doing my own fair share of PC gaming though. I'm going to buy an Nvidia 3D Vision kit. I'm...
Ha, I wish I could wait to think about it then. I can't stop thinking about it, making huge wish lists on Newegg, etc. I've been waiting for this for so long that now that I'm so close, it's driving me crazy with anticipation.
I've been waiting over 7 years to do my dream video workstation build and it's finally looking like a possibility. I'll likely have the money by the end of this coming summer, but this timing presents me with a dilemma. There are echos all over the interwebz about Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge...
