Oh yeah. A 5.6" TFT NTSC LCD is crappy for working with text. Unless it's like 48point at 800x600, it will be very difficult to read. If you want to read fine text (paragraphs, web pages, documents, etc.) you'll want a VGA display, not an NTSC one.

As someone who has an computer serving as an mp3 playing and gps navigation with a 5.6" TFT LCD in my car.. I can say you'll need a computer with NTSC composite video out, commonly labeled "tv-out". My computer has it integrated on the mobo, but you can get an addon PCI card which will do this...
