I'm in University now, so not that... far past the days of grade school. Pretty much the only way you were allowed to use an electronic device in class was if you had a disability that required it.
330 is better for most people because it's unlikely that you will be able to tell the difference in real world usage, but if you demand the absolute best, then 520.
Intel. They are the only ones with reliable Sandforce SSDs.
Edit: You should also look into the Crucial M4 and Samsung 830 because they are good and reliable too.
I believe NVIDIA charges far more for their workstation cards than AMD does, mainly because they have a better reputation for performance and compatibility in that field (whether or not it is actually true is up for debate).
Well... as much as I hate to say it, hopefully Apple will use IPS displays in the future Macbook Pro refresh. Then maybe they'll set off the same display spec war we see going on now in phones/tablets.
