Do Ubiquity Unifi Systems require a dedicated box?

After reading through many threads on Ubqiuity's gear here, do you actually have to keep a dedicated box running to manage these AP's? Or is it just an initial setup? I'm looking specifically at the Ubiquiti UniFi AP Enterprise WiFi Systems.

    Recommendations on family filter?

I've registered with a premium account on OpenDNS ($20/yr) and have set it up with with DD-WRT on my linksys e3000 following this guide: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/OpenDNS I went with Option 2 of the guide, which provides a DNSMasq. Also, I added the Intercept DNS Port rule a bit...

    Recommendations on family filter?

I can set openDNS at the router level... that sounds great. Is there a way to prevent access even if local machines change their DNS?

    Recommendations on family filter?

I would like to setup some sort of filtering system at the router level for my home that's not overly bloated and is geared a bit more toward the technical. I don't mind cost as much as I do a thorough implementation. It would simply filter out adult content. Any recommendations?

    Doing Work via 3G Tethering...Possible?

In Chicago, I use my Moto Droid 2's hotspot (Verizon's 3G) on the train. I consistently get somewhere between 400-800kbps down and up. If you know your bits and bytes, this translates to a download speed roughly around 100 kilobytes per second. It's really not bad. The only deal-breaker...

Which device to tuck behind a wall mounted display?

True that -- At this point I'm leaning mostly toward the Logitech Revue (Google TV box), which has Chrome built in. $100 each seems a good price point.

Which device to tuck behind a wall mounted display?

Is this more cost effective than 6 apple tv's $600 + $150 peripherals? - Box, psu, mobo, cpu, 2 graphic cards, 6 long dvi cables, hard drive, memory From a birds eye view, that looks to be about $800-1000 if I build all of it. Ordering a system with these specs would likely cost more...

    (SOLVED) Macbook Pro Memory Mystery

Ultimately this is just another compatible memory question, but this one has got me stumped because of a lack of specificity. I'm looking at the newest refresh of Macbook 15" i7's (2.2 and 2.3ghz). Apple's site doesn't really say exactly which i7 is inside the Macbook, but naive deduction...

$1300 for everything: filming ceremony/reception plus editing One A little grainy No, it was an outdoor wedding, so the grass is more grainy than I'm used to. (Compared to BBC Planet Earth Blu Ray set) Also, during the darker parts of the wedding (reception), he mounted a bright diffused...
