Just Built New Comp, Shuts Off After Few Seconds then Reboots

Hi Anandtech, Just built my first comp, essentially a clone of the mid-level rig sticky. I feel like I have everything together correctly, but cannot be certain. Computer boots, fan turns on, and then after about 3-5 seconds it shuts down. After a couple seconds, the computer turns on again...

    First Build for Gamer

Hi Anandtech, Got a surprise holiday bonus, and after being a gamer for 20 years (I'm 25) and always buying pre-built/friend built/barebones + upgrade systems, I'm finally ready to blow some good earned cash on a gaming machine that makes me giggle. I've never played anything on the highest...

Sorry - I know thread is closed, but why do people ask if he has a Microcenter nearby? I have one nearby and I will be getting a very similar build.

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

VGA -- but since I had to use the low profile the VGA isn't sticking out the back of my computer - ie cannot use the VGA to plug in.

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

Halp! So I bought it, and plugged in my monitor to my "old" VGA input and am blackscreened. I know this is totally a newb question, but after plugging in my new graphics card it necessitates plugging my monitor into the card itself and it's inputs/outputs, as opposed to the VGA on the...

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

I'm still quite mindblown at the expert level help and thoughts I get when I post to the forums with a question. Thank you everyone for your input, I learned a lot. I ended up going with the below. Hopefully I will have a different experience than the other user who posted where he...

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

My budget is: 1. Cards that work in a PCIe x1 or x16 slot 2. Cards that could possibly work with a 220W power supply 3. Cards that work with the case/setup mentioned in my first post. I assume that is already limiting us to just a few cards, but if you had some mega low-consumption...

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

Hilariously enough, I found this in the review section for the linked cards: Pros: Took My Acer Model ax1420g-u5832 from a wimpy little internet viewer to a serious gamer. D3 Beta runs smooth as silk and the card hardly ever gets over 40 degrees C even under heavy load. Took my windows...

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

Last question, which is probably an idea-killer... The power supply is showing 220W on newegg. This can't possibly support an external card, right?

Can I load a PCIe graphics card into this to play Skyrim?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16883103267 Don't hate ;-). I'm on this kick where I only upgrade my computer every couple years with the "lowest rung" of decent computers so that instead of paying bleeding edge prices every 2 years, I pay the absolute minimum and it still feels...
