Prescott E0 won't run on my IC7 mobo

I'm having problems booting into Windows (both XP and 2000 reboots at the bootup logo) with my new E0 SL7PN 3.2Ghz (not OC'd) on IC7 v1.1, and have tried BIOSes 2.8, 2.7, 2.6. Went back to my 3.0c northwood. I have previously run Prescotts SL7E4/SL7E5 on this same board using BIOS 2.5...

Need help to fix a radiator leak

It was about a drop per second. The pump was a Laing type like the MCP650, came as part of a DD TDX kit. Finally the leak stopped after I re-applied about 7 layers of sealant tape. I noticed the original tape was not scratched at all so it must be too loose. I first applied about 3 layers...

Need help to fix a radiator leak

One funny thing though (excuse me as it's my first time with these things), after I tightened it, the leak was only when the pump was running and when I turned it off and left it a few hours it didn't leak.

Need help to fix a radiator leak

Thanks folks, I'll try out replacing the tape and also apply tube sealant first, if these still doesn't fix it, I'll be RMAing the thing.

Need help to fix a radiator leak

Hi, I bought a new black ice 2 radiator and while testing my new watercooling setup for leak, I found out 1 of the fittings of the rad was leaking. I tightened it to very tight already, but it did not fix the leak. The fitting already has sealant tape on it, should I buy and apply another...

Does HSF vibration affect OC stability / CPU life?

sneakystuff, yes, it needs >3200rpm at (3.0c@258FSB,1.6v,P4C800E), any lower, 2 x prime fails within an hour (temp goes > 60c), but is ok at screamer speeds (temp maintained at 57c). vegetto, well, i am new to tornadoes, but compared to panaflo 2800rpm H1A and papst 92 fan, i think the...

Does HSF vibration affect OC stability / CPU life?

I run a Tornado 92mm at 3600rpm for my OC'd rig (P4), HS is XP90. I found out the fan vibrates a lot after touching the HS body. Does this affect the OC stability or even the life of the CPU? I can't find any other 92mm fan out there that is as powerful and doesn't vibrate too much (such as...

    Fan design ideas

just wanna know if anybody has attempted to design 80mm, 92mm or 120mm fans to look like 3-blade electric fans (home appliance) or airplane propellers or chopper rotors (2 or 3 blade)? why not, since in actual usage these 'fan' types move a lot of air. maybe at low RPMs they are silent and at...

    How tough are today's HDDs?

I ask this because today while upgrading a sound card my grip of the case slipped and it went bang! on the marble floor. The midtower case fell down about 1 foot high and sideways. I have 3 HDs in it - 2 hitachi SATA Raid 0s and 1 WD 120JB. booting up a few times after that there seemed to be...

    Confused about Panaflo fans

Hi Gizzo, That's a very good site you put up there thank you, i wished it also had the power rating column as well. by the way, what do you think of the Papst vario-fans, how do these work? Is there an extra temperature wire attached to it to which you attach to a heatsink or something else?

    Confused about Panaflo fans

Panaflo series of fans are very confusing. Some 92mm M1As have same .15a spec. as L1As, then some have RPM monitoring like M1A BX versions w/c specifies .2a (must be noisy). Shopping around I came across 92mm H1As rated .55a, I bought one and boy, this one's a screamer and it's not even the...
