    MythTV Backend on RPi2

Thanks for the lengthy reply. I will check into Mythbuntu to see if that path is any easier to set up the MythTV backend. Probably just start fresh with a new microSD card for the Mythbuntu install and park the card with OpenElec. Thanks again.

    MythTV Backend on RPi2

Greetings, Need a little direction on setting up MythTV backend software ( ver. 0.27 ? ) on a new Raspberry Pi2. This will be feeding a Kodi machine front-end. I've been using Kodi on various platforms for a couple a years while running WMC Server on the backend with very good results so I'm...

Easiest Program to Recover Deleted Files?

Greetings, What is the easiest, cheapest ( hopefully shareware ) program to recover deleted files from the hard drive? I have a friend who had someone go into their computer and delete a boatload of pictures out of spite. Is there something you guys can recommend? I tried PC Inspector...

Lost files after using Windows Recovery ( not Restore )

I realize I was being sloppy with the backup drive still plugged in, should have unplugged it.

Lost files after using Windows Recovery ( not Restore )

Yes, I had the original hard drive ( 500 GB ) imaged onto a backup drive ( 1 TB ). The 500 had two partitions on it -- a partition of 50 GB with XP on it and some misc. programs and the remainder ( ~ 450 GB ) was used for Vista and misc. programs. I was out of room on the XP partition so I...

Lost files after using Windows Recovery ( not Restore )

I used the automated Recovery from the menu option, not in the command line. With the computer off, I had the Vista disc in the DVD drive and booted from there.

Lost files after using Windows Recovery ( not Restore )

Like the title says, I used the Recovery Console to recover Windows Vista. Doing so wiped out everything I've done since early last year on my boot hard drive. Luckily I store my pictures and videos, etc. on a separate hard drive. Background : I have a hard drive set up with a dual boot of...

Windows XP / Vista Resizing Partitions

If I shrink Vista's partition which is physically second on the hard drive, it will add space at the end of the partition not at the beginning next to XP's partition. I want to slide Vista down and leave a gap that XP can then fill. I will probably plunk down the $$$ and get disk director...

Windows XP / Vista Resizing Partitions

I tried Gparted a couple of years ago and evidently it was smarter than me. Is it freeware, I can't remember.

Windows XP / Vista Resizing Partitions

Greetings, Is there an almost painless way to resize my hard drive partitions? I have XP on the first partition @ 50 GB, and Vista on the remainder of the drive in a partition of 450 GB. I'm out of room on the XP partition and have plenty of room to grab from Vista's partition. XP is...

    Help with Replacement Mobo

    Mobo for AMD+ 7750 Kuma

I was wondering what board you paired that 7750 up with. Let me know if you went with DDR2 800 instead of 1066, as that's how I'm leaning. Also share your BIOS settings for CPU, ie multiplier etc. Looks like we can just increase the multiplier to hit 3.0 GHz, right? This board has everything...

    Mobo for AMD+ 7750 Kuma

Thanks for your input. I've had a couple of ASUS' boards in the past and they've been good to me. ASRock is a subdivision of ASUS, correct? Are they just as good?
