New to XP, I just installed quicken on my account (no problems running), then I logged off and log on wifes account...not in program list, when I did find the quicken icon it would not let her run it.....click on it and nothing happens? How do I give her permissions to run it? Thanks, John

Looking for a way to sync inbox mail....if my wife logs on to her XP account (on the same computer) and checks the mail, I never see it. We share the same POP account? Was thinking that we could share the same pst file and that would fix it, but can't seem to figure how to tie them together...

My thoughts too, but window update had new drivers and I installed them as well...still down. It's get to the point where I think it's bad. I can see my laptop on the network, but the laptop doesn't see the network Thanks for your input, John

just started doing this in the past week, i've had it for several years. Self built system. ....Quick correction to my earlier statement, it doen't even start loading windows....not getting out of bios

When I turn it on, computer starts loading windows then it reboots, never making it to windows. Tried safe mode no help. Thanks, John

After re-installing xp on my laptop, my internal wireless adapter stopped working?!?! If I install a wireless adapter card things work well. I would just use the adapter card, but the internal always seem faster. Any ideas? John

My wireless router gets it's feed from the cable modem right? If I got a faster cable modem with better BW, I would think my connectivity with both computers on the net would benefit? current modem SB4100 has DOCSIS 1.0 = max chan BW 3.2MHz, max data BW/ chan is 5 Mb/s new modem SB5100...

Thanks Jack, After reading that not sure if I can go wireless, the signal would need to travel about 30 feet but though a wall and a floor....I guess tho if my 2.4 GHz phone can make the distance, so should a wireless router signal?? You think I should get rid of my current cable...
