Even though it was $10 more I decided to go for it since it's still far more cheaper than the usual price. Now hopefully I'll get a rebranded Seagate :)

This is the one thing that I'm afraid of. When you ordered it, did the website specifically mention that the warranty is for one year only? Despite my concern I'm still buying for my new computer. Hopefully it'll be a rebadged Seagate. Edit: It just sold out :(
