Has anyone ever used Ablecom power supply with a thunderbird 1ghz processor and the abit kt7-raid?
I believe that these supplys come in all super micro cases.
freaky
who did you go through that same thing happened to me and I was pissed although this company offers a 3 year warantee with oem chips wierd ehh... same as amd.
No i dont get any beeps no keylog even. I tried the cpu in another abitkt7 herboard and no go so I tried it in a AsusAv7 or the socket a one and no go. I also tried a duron in all these boards and it only worked in one of the abits after i used this "Devil Chip" I have not tried to...
I think i just got a defunct chip cause I used anti static mat and wrist wrap. I put it in another board and I believe it is dead. That sucks. Is it possible for AMD or the place I bought it from to tell if the chip was fried from static/overheat or if it is just defunct? If so what do they...
how can I tell if my thunderbird is fried or not. I have no way of testing it on another motherboard so I cant tell if its the CPU or the MOBO. Is there anything that can be physically seen to tell if it is fried? Or do I have to go to get it tested on another motherboard?
I dunno how to help you exactally but i have a Supermicro 760 full tower if you wanna buy it email me at synix@lomag.net. I know it works with abitkt7 mobo i have never used this one though.
I got a Abit KT7-raid and a soundblaster paltinum 5.1 card.
I thought I read back sometime ago about someone having problems with the Abit KT7-raid mb and creative sound blaster platinum 5.1. Does anyone know anything about this or does anyone have this setup and working properly?
I am not understanding raid exactally i dont think. If you stripe two 30gig 7200rpm drives do you acctually still have 60 gigs at what type of performance?
The KT7 highpoint controller cannot even contend with promise's controller. Other than that the KT7-Raid is the best SocketA motherboard for the Thunderbird. Although the Asus KA7 comes in a close second in my opinion.
I was wondering if anyone has done any benchmarks with memory on the kt7raid? Looking for the best possible ram/mobo config. Any information would be great thanks. :D
