The grainy effect isn't a matter of what's displayed on the screen, it's the way the screen is built. It's inherent to the LCD panel and it will never go away. I'm still debating it as well as the stuck red sub-pixel. We have 30 days to figure out what to do, so I'm going to give it a while...

Greetings, Just received my 2001FP today. No "white light" issue, but I do have one stuck red pixel just a cm from the bottom right of the screen just barely still in the WinXP task bar. It does show up in the black area when watching a DVD, but you don't notice it when you're not looking for...
